Megan Thee Stallion finally drops off her highly anticipated new single “Hot Girl Summer” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.
The single is like the soundtrack for Megan Thee Stallion‘s wild summer with her catchphrase becoming a summer phenom this year. She delayed the single by a week so that she could get Nicki Minaj to drop a verse and Ty Dolla $ign to provide a catchy hook where he sings “She a big ole freak /It’s a must that I hit.”
“Hot Girl Summer” was slated for release last weekend after Megan had already recorded and mixed the track. She and Nicki came together last minute when they both hopped on Instagram Live to chop things up. One of the things that they discussed was a potential collaboration. It didn’t take long for that to happen in the form of “Hot Girl Summer.”
Thee Stallion says Nicki literally recorded her verse the same night that they spoke on Live. It’s safe to say that the summer belongs to Meg because she is dominating the game both on the airwaves and on social media. She also managed to get the biggest female rapper in the game on her signature single.
