Mary J. Blige drops off a new gem, “Know.”
The music icon blessed us with some new music on Thursday in the form of a new single titled “Know.” Mary J. Blige is currently touring North America with rap legend Nas, but she still found some time to hit the studio and record new music. It might’ve been from her archive of unreleased material. Nonetheless, Blige just reminded us why she is the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul.
She showcases her iconic vocals as she gave a powerful testimony of triumph and struggle. “My snapback’s real / Still thick in these jeans / I ain’t missin’ no meals… / They just don’t know how many times I lost just so I could win,” she sings.
Mary J. Blige and Nas recently announced their co-headlining “Royalty Tour” this summer. The two hip hop icon also collaborated on a new single “Thriving.” As if that’s not enough, Mary J. is getting ready to take over your TV screen after being cast in a spinoff of Starz hit series Power. The new series will be titled “Power Book 2: Ghost.”
