Young Money rapper Drake has reportedly admitted that his recent joke tweet about being married to label mate Nicki Minaj went further than intended when his mother believed it was true.
Speaking to People at the MTV VMAs last night, Drake said: “My mom was actually like, ‘What happened? How did you elope?’ But we were just joking around. I never thought it would get so out of hand.”
“People still think it’s real. I’ll look at a girl, and she’ll be like, ‘You’re a married man. You shouldn’t look at me that way’.”
