Lil Baby and Gunna joint album “Drip Harder” sold 130,000 copies in the first week.
The album debut at number four on the Billboard 200 chart this week despite showing strong first week sales. Of the 130,000 album equivalent units sold, 121,000 were from streaming while the rest is from traditional sales. In real numbers, that translates to approximately 164 million streams across all streaming platforms. “Drip Harder” is also the most streamed album over the past week, which is even more reasons for Lil Baby and Gunna to celebrate.
The two Atlanta rappers released the new project just over a week ago to mixed reviews, but it turns out that enough fans love the album to rack up the streaming numbers and purchase copies of it. The two rappers have been getting a lot of attention for their singles “Drip Too Hard” and “Sold Out Dates.”
Elsewhere on the chart, you will find Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” at number three after selling 135,000 units. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack occupies the number two spot while Twenty One Pilot’s Trench tops the chart.
Lil Baby and Gunna are planning to go on tour to support their new project.
