Troy Ave Held Without Bail, Pleads Not Guilty To Attempted Murder Charge

Troy Ave is staring down a lot of years in prison if convicted on attempted murder charges. The Brookly rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared in a Manhattan Criminal court on Monday.

Ave attorneys, Scott E. Leemon and John Stella, requested a $50,000 bail for their client. They argued in court that the rapper has no prior criminal record. But judge Pandit-Durant denied their bail request.

Troy Ave, born Roland Collins, was caught on video firing shots inside a room full of people backstage T.I.’s concert in New York City last week. Three others were shot one of which succumb to his injuries during the incident. His lawyers argued that he was not to be blamed for the shooting incident.

The dead man has been identified as one of Troy Ave’s bodyguards, Ronald McPhatter. The rapper also reportedly shot himself in his own leg for which he underwent surgery over the weekend. He was brought to court in a wheelchair.
