Prayers up for Chicago rapper Lil Reese who is in critical condition after getting shot in the neck.
Chicago born rapper Lil Reese was shot in the neck and has been hospitalized Monday, according to ABC7 Chicago. Police responded to a shooting at an intersection in a suburban town south of Chicago, where they found a car parked with “fresh blood in the driver’s seat and on the ground next to the door.” Authorities later confirmed Lil Reese, born Tavares Taylor, had been shot in the neck, and someone had taken him from the scene to a nearby hospital.
A spokesperson for Advocate Christ Medical Center told Complex that Lil Reese was in critical condition. However rapper Lil Durk gave fans some solace and tweeted “Reese good” with a blue heart around 7:30 Monday evening, indicating that things may be looking up.
Lil Reese, 26, broke onto the scene in the early 2010’s with his association to Chief Keef and Fredo Santana, and was featured on the hit single “I Don’t Like” in 2012. Since beginning his career, Reese released 6 mixtapes and 2 EPs including a collab project with Lil Durk. So if Durk himself is saying that Reese is okay, we hope that remains true.
