Earlier this week LL Cool J announced his retirement on Twitter but quickly unretired himself after fans went crazy.

We’ve never seen a rapper retires and unretires on the same day. 26 minutes to be exact it took him to come out of retirement. With a career spanning over 3 decades and 13 million plus albums sold, everyone thought that LL was serious. Fortunately for us he was just having a little fun on Twitter.

Speaking with Billboard, the rap icon says that “G.O.A.T. 2” is officially on hold for now but something else big is coming.
“I put G.O.A.T. 2 on hold,” he said. “It was good but I didn’t feel like it was ready yet. I am working on another project that will be real special. If people like that freestyle [on Dr. Dre’s show], they’re gonna go crazy over this album.”
LL Cool J says that there is no title or release date for that project yet but he has been working with veteran producer Dr. Dre as evident in the video posted on Beats radio and on Facebook this week.
“I haven’t titled it yet” Cool J added. “It’s going to be real special. It will be at the level of being worthy for me to put it out. I want to give this era a taste of LL Cool J. With hip-hop today, in this era, I feel like I have to make a contribution.”
