TaxStone Indicted On Gun Charges In Troy Ave Shooting

TaxStone, real name Daryl Campbell, was indicted on two gun charges by a grand jury in New York in relation to Troy Ave shooting.

The Tax Season podcaster is currently held on a $500,000 bail as he awaits trial for charges of firearm purchase through interstate commerce and felon in possession of a firearm, Bossip reported. The Radio personality is the main suspect in the shooting death of Troy Ave’s bodyguard Ronald McPhatters, who was shot and killed at the Irving Plaza in New York last May during a T.I. concert. Troy Ave was shot in his leg during the incident and two other bystanders were injured.

TaxStone’s DNA was found on the murder weapon and then a witness positively identified him as the shooter. The weapon is a 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun that investigators say was brought from Florida to New York by another man who cops are also looking into.

Investigators used his podcast and his social media activities to link him to the case. TaxStone has maintained his innocence with his attorney saying that the radio host was wrongfully targeted because of past things he said on his podcast about Troy Ave.
