Rihanna In Barbados Free Land Controversy, Politicians Slam Gift

Barbados R&B princess Rihanna is yet again the centre of controversy, but this time its not her hair, nude pics or being beaten. The “Rude Boy” singer was given a piece of land in her home land Barbados by Michael Lashley, Minister of Housing and Lands, as a thank-you gift for boosting tourism in the Caribbean island.

The gift apparently hasn’t gone down well with other Politicians, as tensions begins to mount in Bridgetown the capital. Government Minister Gilne Clarke is said to be outraged as the land could have been given to someone in greater need. The piece of land is reportedly a prime real estate in the area of Apes Hill.

“Why is the government paying millions of dollars for land for someone who’s already making millions?” Clarke was quoted as saying.
